DIGITAL COMPASS
If you have an iPhone 3GS tilt your phone and the ''Star Spotter'' function will be activated, a live representation of what you see in the sky will appear on your display and the sky will start following your movements whether you move up or down, left or right. In order to stop the function simply touch the display.

If you don't have an iPhone 3GS the ''Star Spotter'' function will still activate once you tilt your iPhone or iPodTouch and will work as you hold it and move it up and down.

TIME MACHINE: click on the clock icon and date and time will be displayed. Slide your finger on the hours and the sky will start moving accordingly. STAR SPOTTER: if you can't find the star, planet or constellation you are interested in, click on the magnifier symbol and a list of all of them will appear, select it and the display will locate it for you.

First the continent is selected over a cross hair and in up to 6 zoom steps (adjustable) it will zoom into the map (up to the sighting of a city, houses and roads). On every zoom step the cross hair searches a suitable position to zoom into the next zoom step. On the last zoom step a text predefined by you will be shown (which you can set in the hidden configuration menu). Enter there something like the name and the address of your friend, surprised faces are guaranteed.

Transfer photos between two iPhones and/or iPod Touches over bluetooth. Requires 2nd Generation or later iPhone/iPod Touches. Does not require any 3G or WiFi connection.

This is the best bluetooth photosharing app out there, and it's free!!

Here are some features that make this app stand out:
- Unlike some other photosharing apps, Bluetooth Photo Share does not scale down or do any lossy compression of your photos before transferring*. In other words, the receiver gets the exact image that was in the sender's photo library.
- The receiver transfer screen includes a thumbnail preview of the photo AS IT IS BEING TRANSFERRED and a cancel button so that you can cancel the transfer if you decide you do not want it.
- Shows a scrollable list of thumbnails and file sizes for all of the images that you've received.
- Allows you to view your photo albums that your photos were saved in. You would think this would be a trivial feature to add, however, if you look at the other apps, they do not allow you to do this. I believe other developers are not doing this because they are lazy (Apple has not provided an easy way for developers to add a photo albums viewer inside of applications). We, however, have taken the time to essentially replicate the photos app behavior inside of Bluetooth Photo Share.

In the next version, we plan to allow the user to transfer videos in addition to photos.

Place your own text on top of the backdrop (your name, your number, a contacts name if using for a contact graphic, or indeed anything else you can think of!); with over 100 different preset backdrops (or use your own photos and images from your Photo Library), fonts, and font colours, there are literally hundreds of thousands of combination you could create. Preview the result, and if you're satisfied, save it to your Photo Library and then set it as your wallpaper (or alternatively use it as a Contact graphic so you see it when that contact calls you).

Neon requires an active internet connection, either EDGE/Wireless/3G for iPhone, or Wireless for iPod touch. For the best results, use a wireless connection (as opposed to 3G). Internet connectivity is required as the custom images are generated server-side, and the amount of high-res images available to choose from would not be possible in a standalone App.

As well as being able to use your own photos, you can of course use third party background / wallpaper applications (e.g. 'Backgrounds') to download any wallpaper you like, but still have the ability to customize it using Neon.

Please also note that any data (e.g. images) uploaded to the Create Networks servers is regarded as confidential and will not be disclosed to any party - Create Networks are registered with the Information Commissioners Office and therefore conform to the Data Protection Act in the UK, which applies to uploaded data from all over the world.

*** To the reviewers who are 'concerned' about the data upload aspect, there is NO NEED to be, the UIDs passed are only used to uniquely identify the images when it comes to serving them down back down to the devices (with over a 1.5 million images created so far, each image needs to have a unique name to tie it to the device). MANY apps send your UID back to a server without telling you - at least we are upfront, the reasons for it are genuine, and we are compliant with the UK DPA.
